5 day break to North Yorkshire, staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Harrogate Half Board

Day 1

We depart for Yorkshire, making comfort stops en-route including a suitable lunch stop. Arriving at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Harrogate, this afternoon.

Day 2

Enjoy a relaxed morning in the Hotel.

This afternoon we take you to Harewood House.

Day 3

This morning we have a return journey on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. The 150-year old, original 'The Railway Children's' railway takes you on a journey back in time from Keighley to Oxenhope through beautiful Brontë country to discover breathtaking world-famous landscapes, highlighted by the likes of sherlock Holmes, Peaky Blinders and The Great Train Robbery.

Experience the sounds and smells and discover the Carriage Works to see coaches being restored in the workshop, maintained in the Engine Shed and step into history at the award-winning museum to discover the beginnings of the railway once funded predominantly by local wealthy mill owners.

We then make our way by coach to Udders Orchard Cider. Established in 2008 from a few apples picked at the road-side, today, award-winning Udders Orchard Cider uses handpicked, otherwise unwanted apples and pears, mulled and pressed in the garden and fermented in the onsite cellar to create delicious Cider and Perry. Your owner-guided talk and tasting will have your taste buds tingling for more!

Day 4

Today we make our way to York where we visit York Mansion House for a tour. Behind the prominent green doors of the purpose-built home of the Lord Mayor lies fascinating facades, scandalous stories and cherished collections ready for you to explore.

Staterooms, a regalia-flanked Dining Room, ultimate 'hidden gem' kitchens, a stunning silver gallery and even an original Rowntree's chocolate bar as given to York's Great War soldiers, are ripe for discovery. Dive in with a cooking demonstration to prepare and cook your own (digital) 18th-century meal following 300 years of tradition at the heart of York Society.

Enjoy some free time in York before we make our way back to the Hotel.

Day 5

We depart the Hotel after breakfast, making our way home with comfort stops including a suitable lunch stop, arriving back in East Sussex this afternoon.
