Day 1

We depart for Norfolk, making comfort stops and a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arriving at the Duke's Head Hotel, King's Lynn this afternoon.

Day 2

This morning we make our way to Sheringham Station where we board the North Norfolk Railway for a 90 minute return journey.

Unlike most other railways of the time, the Poppy Line was built to serve the eager tourist market, travelling via popular holiday spots, rather than to serve the community. This means today we are treated to the views of the smart, Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham, the Georgian market town of Holt, and the pretty village and shingle beaches at Weybourne. Along the way are unrivalled views of this area of outstanding natural beauty.

This afternoon we enjoy a 60 minute Blakeney Harbour Seal Trip.

With 50 years of experience operating in Blakeney Harbour, a trip to the Blakeney Seals with Beans Boats offers a rare opportunity to get 'up close and personal' to the resident Grey seal and Common Seal colonies without causing a disturbance.

Day 3

Enjoy a relaxed morning.

This afternoon we visit Elgood's Brewery & Gardens for a tour, tasting & light lunch.

Discover the art of the brewer, watch traditional brewing methods using original open copper vessels and wander around the brewery museum before sampling Elgood's range of real ales. Relax in the four-acre garden featuring 200-year-old specimen trees, a herb garden, herbaceous borders, and a rockery. Find your way out of the maze and enjoy one of the award-winning ales in the licensed cafe bar.

Day 4

This morning we make our way to Houghton Hall & Gardens.

One of the finest Palladian Houses in this country. Built in the 1720s, for Sir Robert Walpole, Britain's First Prime Minister. The Hall is currently the home of the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, Walpole's descendent, and his family. Situated in traditional parkland, Houghton is home to a spectacular herd of white fallow and other exotic deer. The award-winning 5-acre Walled Garden includes a spectacular double-sided herbaceous border, a formal rose parterre, a Mediterranean garden, and a kitchen garden with arches and espaliers of apples and pears.

Day 5

We depart the Hotel after breakfast, making comfort stops and a suitable lunch stop en-route. Arriving back in East Sussex this afternoon.
