A 5 day break in Suffolk, staying at Warner's Corton Coastal Village.

Day 1

We depart for Suffolk, making comfort stops en-route including a suitable lunch stop. Arriving at Corton late afternoon.

Day 2

Today we make our way to Wroxham, where we board the Broads Tours boat for a 90-minute Norfolk Broads river cruise. The Norfolk Broads is an internationally important wetland, with a status equivalent to a National Park. There are more than 40 Broads or small lakes linked together by six rivers that make up the 125 miles of lock free navigable waterways. It is a truly magical area that is home to many species of rare plants, animals, insects and a variety of birds.

A full commentary from the skipper will ensure that you don’t miss a thing, explaining the origins of the Broads, identifying points of interest along the way and showing you the abundance of local water birds as they come into view. There is no better way to learn about the Broads whilst taking in the beautiful scenery all around you.

There will be free time in Wroxham after the river cruise.

Day 3

Today we visit Bressingham Steam & Gardens, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and one of Norfolk's unique steam attractions with a timeless appeal that is somewhere all ages can enjoy together.

A charity since the early 1970's, Bressingham Steam and Gardens is the home of Alan Bloom's collection of plants and Industrial, mainly Steam powered, engineering. Open to the public since 1961, Bressingham has welcomed thousands of visitors over the years, bringing to life the magic of Steam. It is a place where Alan Bloom wanted a hands on approach for all the family to have fun.

Bressingham has been the official home to the Dads Army Appreciation Society's collection since 2000. The exhibition comprises a recreation of Walmington on Sea the fictional home to Captain Mainwaring and his men. Jones' butchers shop and the church hall feature heavily in the scene, whilst you can get a glimpse of Frazer's Funeral Parlour and the Swallow Bank.

Day 4

A day at leisure to enjoy the facilities at the hotel.

Day 5

We depart the hotel after breakfast, with a visit to Lavenham before continuing our journey home. Arriving back in East Sussex late afternoon/early evening.
