5 day coach holiday to the Isle of Wight, staying at Warner Bembridge Coast Hotel
Day 1
We depart making a comfort stop and suitable lunch stop before taking the crossing to the Isle of Wight. Arriving at Bembridge Coast this afternoon.
Day 2
Today we visit the English Heritage property of Osborne House, a former royal residence in East Cowes. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert bought the Osborne estate on the Isle of Wight in 1845. There they created a private home away from court life. Victoria used Osborne for over 50 years, entertaining foreign royalty and visiting ministers, finding solace there after Albert’s death in 1861. Today, many of the rooms are still filled with original furniture and works of art, while the planting in the grounds is to Albert’s designs.
Day 3
This morning we visit Brading Roman Villa, situated overlooking Sandown Bay. Brading Roman Villa is one of the finest Roman sites in the UK with their award-winning Visitor Centre and Museum offering unique insights into Roman life in Britain from beautifully preserved mosaic floors to an extensive collection of Roman archaeology.
We then make our way to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary for a tour that brings donkeys up to the fence for some food, and where you are told their stories. Enjoy a cream tea or a savoury tea before we make our way back to the Hotel (please advise your choice when booking, along with any dietary requirements).
Day 4
A day at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel.
Day 5
We depart the hotel after breakfast, making our crossing back, arriving back in East Sussex late afternoon.
